Through all of the clouds today, I actually managed to capture a few images of the annular (partial from here) solar eclipse. Actually, the clouds helped by dimming the sun enough so that minimum exposure (plus a somewhat-mediocre ND4 filter) was enough to see it. Shortly afterward, the cloud cover receded and it is now too bright (last image, taken with minimum exposure and ND filter).

P.S. Also, the clouds had the spectacular effect of drowning out the eye-damaging effects of the eclipse. Yay!
EDIT:
It occurred to me that most people do not know what a neutral density (ND) filter is. So I put in a link.
Thanks to Wikipedia, a Jenga set, and a ruler, I have calculated that if you were to stack all of the pieces in our Jenga set the way they were meant to be stacked, it would be almost exactly 28 and 22/32 inches tall.

I did the “Jurassic Park” part of “John Williams is the Man,” this time in GarageBand. I attempted to hit the really high notes (like G4) and didn’t completely suck.

I invented “discing.” Okay, I probably didn’t invent it, but I discovered it.
